Field Trips
McCabe’s Beach Clean-up-Southold, NY
Children from Summer Rise look for trash as they walk the scenic shoreline at McCabe’s Beach in Southold, NY. They found and removed plastic water bottles, caps, plastic straws, candy wrappers, and much more, which they later made into a beautiful piece of art. They worked with local artist, Cindy Roe of UpSculpt, to design creative wreaths.

New Suffolk Waterfront & Peconic Land Trust
We went to the beach at the New Suffolk Waterfront. We found sea creatures. Then we talked about the sea creatures and looked at them. They used a net to catch the sea creatures. I liked the puffer fish! There were little fish and shrimp and a blue claw crab! The trip was amazing!

Harbes Family Farm Photography Field Trip - Mattituck, NY
We went to the petting zoo at Harbes, and we took a lot of pictures of the animals and the houses and the fences. We got to play with the scooters and jump on the bouncy pad! I really want to go again!
